It's a triathlon training method in which you run with varying numbers of bricks behind you...it is supposed to build quad strength to improve running AND speed on the bike... :)

Kidding, of course...it's doing two (or more, but usually two) legs of the tri in a day for training...so bike/swim, swim/run, bike/run...usually consecutively.
