"He's John" – John S's Theme
by Mike Fitzgerald
(Parody of "She's Gone" by Daryl Hall and John Oates)

He’d been getting by on visualization
But everyone’s surprised to see him on the street
Argenta tried to kill him on that long run
But it's plain to see
He don’t quit easily

Sally, Charlie ‘n Jack are in the kitchen
They see he’s got a pot of coffee just for Sue
She needs to drink or she’ll be a-bitchin’
Now he’s agreed,
To spectate Disney

He’s John Oh I, Oh I
I guess he’s gonna have to wait
He’s John Oh my, Oh my
For that IHOP pancake plate
He’s John , Oh my
What went wrong?

Get up in the morning look at the Forum
He learns that he’ll soon be running in Durand
He has no say ‘cause there is a quorum
Now he can see
This is the way it will be

He’s John Oh I, Oh I
I see his head, it is shakin’
He’s John Oh my, Oh my
Travel plans Sue’s makin’
He’s John, Oh my
He’ll tag ‘long

Think he'll spend eternity going to races
The Suburban and airlines go from town to town
And he’ll change clothes in some awkward places
But he can always dream
Of that club (club) R (R) V

He’s John Oh my, Oh my
He’d better learn how to face it
He’s John Oh my, Oh my
Some  future race he’ll be pacing
He’s John, Oh my
Running strong

Original Version

"She's Gone" by Daryl Hall and John Oates

Everybody's high on consolation
Everybody's trying to tell me what's right for me
My daddy tried to bore me with a sermon
But it's plain to see
That they can't comfort me

Sorry Charlie for the imposition
I think I've got it, got the strength to carry on
I need a drink and a quick decision
Now it's up to me,
Ooh what will be

She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
better learn how to face it
She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
pay the devil to replace her
She's Gone, Oh I
What went wrong

Get up in the morning look in the mirror
I'm worn as her tooth brush hanging in the stand
My face ain't looking any younger
Now I can see
Love's taken her toll on me

She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
better learn how to face it
She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
pay the devil to replace her
She's Gone, Oh I
What went wrong

Think I'll spend eternity in the city
let the carbon and monoxide choke my thoughts away
And pretty bodies help dissolve the memories
But they can never be
What she was (was) to (to) me

She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
better learn how to face it
She's Gone Oh I, Oh I'd
pay the devil to replace her
She's Gone, Oh I
What went wrong
